1.5 mL (min. 500 uL) serum separated from clot 1.5 mL (min. 500 uL) EDTA plasma separated from blood within 6 hours Note: If a patient is monitored for therapy, subsequent specimens must be of the same type.

Specimen Stability

Serum: stable 2-8°C for 24 hours, indefinitely if frozen at -20°C Plasma: stable 2-8°C for 72 hours, indefinitely if frozen at -20°C

Ship refrigerated sample with cool/refrigerated pack (Do not allow the sample to be in direct contact with the cool/refrigerated pack) Ship frozen specimen with dry ice
